A delegation from the University of Macau, Faculty of Law, visited the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon on December 12th, 2011. After a brief exchange of institutional greetings, with the presence of the Faculty Director, Professor Doctor Vera Cruz, a meeting took place with Professor Doctors Ana Nunes de Almeida e Paula Vaz Freire, from the UL Council for Quality Assurance, where the UL experience in this area was presented and debated. The exchange of perspectives was very interesting and opened the way to future collaborations.

Included in the cycle of seminars entitled Knowledge for intervention, initiated in November 2010, the UL Council for Quality Assurance has promoted in October 17th its third seminar, dedicated to the theme students with special needs.
The UL is finishing a statute for these students, that will be available for public consultation during the month of January.

 The UL was invited to participate in this international project whose main objective is to develop a HEI ranking respecting their heterogeneity and multidimensionality. It will not be focused only in the research, but will assess five different dimensions of HEI performance: teaching and learning; research; transfer of knowledge; regional commitment; internationalization.
